A car crash in Brooklyn occurred in the early hours of the morning, at roughly 4:45 a.m. One man was driving a Toyota Camry, and the other was driving an Infiniti G37, which is a luxury sedan. The two cars collided at the intersection, and the vehicles were badly mangled in the wreck. How fast the cars were traveling has not been released, but there had to be a significant rate of speed for that level of damage to occur.
The 60-year-old driver of the Camry was severely injured in the accident, and he was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital. Unfortunately, the doctors were not able to save him, and he passed away from his injuries while in the hospital.
The 25-year-old driver of the sedan was also injured, though not as severely. He was taken to a hospital and treated, and then the police placed him under arrest and took him in. They have not yet announced what charges he will face, but they suspect that he was at fault in the accident, as evidenced by the arrest.
Early reports indicated that a third person was injured and also received treatment, but it is unclear how the person was involved, what relationship they had with the drivers or even which car they were in, if either.
A personal injury suffered in a car accident can be the grounds for a lawsuit if the injured party can show that the other driver was the one responsible. In this case, the police report would back up that claim. All those who are injured, or the families of those who are killed, have a right to look into compensation options for pain and suffering, loss of life, medical bills and more.
